Flint River Fresh keeps earth day celebrations going with a compost giveaway!
Whether you are growing food in your backyard, have a bed at a community or school garden or operate a small farm, all growers are welcome to bring your own shovels, bags, buckets, and trucks to load up on compost. Cool Season Container Gardening Workshop
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to grow fresh, delicious vegetables, herbs, and flowers in containers—perfect for small garden spaces, balconies, rooftops, school gardens, and community gardens! This workshop will cover everything you need to know about cool-season container gardening, including selecting the right containers, choosing the best plants, creating the ideal soil mix, and maintaining a thriving garden throughout the cooler months.

Come join us at the Hope Center, 925 Pine Avenue, Albany, GA 31701 on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM for a FREE fun and educational event all about starting your own seeds AND MORE!
Learn from expert gardeners about proven techniques for indoor planting and caring for your seedlings. Get hands-on experience and learn how to build a table top grow light system that you can begin growing seeds on your own inside your home or classroom.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow plant enthusiasts and grow your green thumb. Also, we'll share tips on how to get kids involved and enthused about gardening. See you there!

School Garden Blitz
Meet-Up for School Garden Blitz Activities at Lamar Reese Elementary at 1pm. Each stop includes 30 minutes of hands-on gardening in raised garden beds. Time schedule allows 15 minutes of travel and prep time after each school garden visit.
